First Dentist Appointment

At Best Western Dental Centre we realise that some people find a visit to the dentist quite a daunting prospect. We therefore we do our best to make sure you feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible for Your First Appointment.

Our dentists spend the time to really listen to all your concerns. We even have TV on the ceiling to take your mind off things!

Our dentists like to have a comprehensive understanding of your dental history.  We ask you to fill out a one page Medical History Form on arrival. Alternatively, you can download the Medical History Form here and fill it in at your leisure at home.

Once the form is completed, our dentist will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and soft tissues. This would involve taking a full set of X-rays and possibly using an intra-oral camera.

Through using X-rays and an intra-oral camera, our dentists can offer you the most accurate and comprehensive treatment plans tailored to your individual needs. The intra-oral camera is also linked to our computer screens so you the patient can see exactly what the dentist can see thus enhancing your understanding of your treatment.

Once our thorough and comprehensive exam has been conducted, you will be given treatment options tailored to suit your needs and budget including any discussing any payment plan.

Occasionally, a separate visit is needed to review your treatment options with you. This may require if your treatment needs are complex or require a further consultation. In order for the Doctor to formulate your best dental treatment, he needs time to adequately review examination records such as X rays, study model…, to diagnose and prepare a suitable range of treatment options and recommendations. There is usually no charge for this second consultation and treatment may be start on that same day to save you time.
