Cerec (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is a method of CAD/CAM dentistry developed at the University of Zurich in 1980 for creating dental restorations. Using CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing), this process allows our dentists to make and insert individual ceramic restorations in one single appointment. Therefore patient do not have to walk around with temporary restorations. In the other words Cerec is a more convenience way to get a single or multiple single ceramic restoration.
